Gabriele and Lennart Achenbach have been avowed sneaker fans for many years and have now realized the dream of many sneaker lovers: a shoe rack that not only keeps things tidy, but also perfectly showcases your private collection. Minimalist and understated, the Steps shoe rack gives you a clear view of your own collection. No more shoes lying around in the way. Here, everything becomes part of a whole.

Gabriele Achenbach is an industrial designer, but has been working mainly in the field of graphic design for many years. For this project, her son Lennart encouraged her to venture back into product design. And his persistence paid off. The two were awarded the prestigious germandesignaward in Frankfurt for their shoe rack.

Gabriele and Lennart both live in Stuttgart. So it makes sense to have the production for their shoe rack nearby. A neighboring metalworking company manufactures the rack using laser technology from 2.5 mm thick aluminum. This allows the two to respond perfectly to customer requests and avoid unnecessary transport routes.

Ten, eight, or four pairs of shoes—that is the question. And then there are black, silver, or gold colors to choose from. With this new shoe rack, everyone can be happy. It is also possible to combine different colors and sizes. And of course, this rack is not only suitable for sneakers. There are other beautiful shoes too. Anything that doesn't have high heels can be stored on the rack.
