Simple cuckoo clock
The reinterpretation of the cuckoo clock by renowned designer Tobias Reischle is a real hit. Its design couldn't be more timeless and minimalist. The best-selling designer cuckoo clock is produced in the Black Forest by a Munich-based company. The artificial cuckoo clock is popular worldwide.
Munich.
Bollenhut hats, Black Forest gateau and, of course, "cuckoo, cuckoo!" the cuckoo clock. Ever since Karl Lagerfeld hung a model redesigned by Offenburg artist Stefan Strumbel above his sofa, cuckoo clocks have been back in vogue. Strumbel turns them into wild pop art objects. But they can also be a whole lot more subtle. That's exactly what we were looking for, and funnily enough, we found it in Munich.
Black Forest cuckoo clock
Designer Tobias Reischle has significantly reduced the classic clock's exterior. Inside, a traditional one-day clockwork from the Black Forest with original pipes and a hand-painted wooden cuckoo works. Just as it should be for a real cuckoo clock from the Black Forest. "Otherwise it has no value" (Baden dialect). For those who prefer something a little more opulent, we also have a version in real 24-carat gold leaf!
